Booking and scheduling
How do I book a junk removal pickup?
Text photos of what's going and your address to (310) 905-5138, or use the form on the contact page. Miles replies with a clear price and the next available two-hour window. Say yes and you're booked.
Can I get same-day junk removal in Los Angeles?
Usually, if you text before noon and we have a slot on your side of town. The core Westside near Santa Monica is the most reliable for same-day; coast and South Bay jobs are often same-day too.
What are your hours?
24 hours a day, 24/7 Texts sent overnight are answered first thing in the morning.
Do you work weekends and holidays?
Weekends yes, both days. Major holidays we take off, and we'll tell you the next open window when you text.
How long is the arrival window?
Two hours. We text when we're about 20 minutes out so you aren't waiting at the door.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes, free of charge up to two hours before your window. After the crew has dispatched there may be a trip charge, which we'll have told you about at booking.
Do I have to be there?
No, as long as we can reach the items: a garage code, a side gate, a building loading dock. We text before-and-after photos when you're not home. For estate and whole-home cleanouts we prefer someone present for the first hour.
How far ahead can I book?
As far as you like. Move-outs, estate sales and contractor schedules are often booked a week or two ahead and we hold the slot.
Pricing and payment
How do you price a job without seeing it?
From your photos, by truck space. The quote includes labor, stairs, carrying distance, disposal fees and donation drop-off, so there's nothing to add later. Our How Pricing Works page walks through the load sizes.
Can the price change after you quote it?
It can, if the load is different from what you showed us. We re-quote before we touch anything and you decide. Access, stairs and disposal are already included, so the only thing that moves the number is more stuff.
Do you charge by the hour?
No. Hourly pricing makes stairs and traffic your problem. Volume pricing means you can look at the truck and see what you paid for.
Is there a minimum?
There's a minimum load that covers a couple of items. Single couches, mattresses and refrigerators are everyday jobs for us.
How is heavy material like dirt or concrete priced?
By weight rather than volume, because transfer stations charge by the ton. Tell us roughly how many buckets or wheelbarrows and send a photo; we'll quote per yard.
Do you charge extra for stairs, elevators or long carries?
No separate charges. Access is part of the quote, which is why we ask about it when you text.
Why don't you publish prices on the website?
A price list without a photo is a guess, and guesses become curbside arguments. One real number from your photo takes a few minutes and holds.
What payment methods do you take?
Cash, credit card and Zelle, paid when the truck is loaded. Commercial accounts can be invoiced.
Do you offer discounts?
We don't run coupon promotions.
What we take and don't take
What kinds of junk do you take?
If two people can carry it and it isn't hazardous, it goes.
What won't you take?
Paint, solvents, chemicals, fuel, propane, asbestos, fire ash, medical waste, and anything that leaks. We also don't rent dumpsters or do demolition.
Do you take mattresses?
Yes. Mattresses and box springs ride with any load and go into California's mattress recycling program, which your purchase fee already funded.
Do you take refrigerators and air conditioners?
Yes. Have them unplugged and, for built-ins, disconnected. Units with refrigerant are routed to a recycler that recovers it.
Do you take construction debris?
Yes: drywall, tile, lumber, cabinets, flooring, windows and modest concrete loads. We haul what's already down; we don't demo.
Do you take yard waste and storm debris?
Branches, fronds, brush, pulled plants, fence panels, dismantled sheds, soil and gravel in modest amounts. After a storm we prioritize mud-soaked contents and downed material.
Do you take electronics and TVs?
Yes. TVs, monitors, computers, printers and cables go to a certified e-waste handler rather than the trash.
Will you take a piano or a safe?
Usually. Send a photo and tell us the floor and the path out. Uprights and most safes are fine; grands and very large safes get a quick phone call first.
Do you take hazardous waste?
No. For household hazardous waste, LA City runs free S.A.F.E. collection centers, including Hyperion in Playa del Rey and the West LA center at UCLA, and Santa Monica residents get door-to-door pickup through the city.
Donations, recycling and where it goes
Can I choose a different charity?
If it accepts drop-offs without an appointment, tell us when you book and we'll route it there.
What percentage of junk do you recycle?
We're measuring it by load this quarter and will publish the real number on the Giving Back page. We'd rather give you a measured figure than a marketing one.
Where does the trash actually go?
A licensed transfer station, usually Southern California Disposal in Santa Monica or Culver City's station on Jefferson Boulevard. Metal, mattresses, electronics, wood and cardboard are pulled out first.
What happens to things that still have life in them?
If it still has life, it goes to charity, not the landfill. Usable items are donated to Goodwill and The Salvation Army.
Apartments, condos and buildings
Do you work in apartment buildings and condo towers?
Yes. Most of the Westside is multifamily. We handle elevator reservations, loading docks, walk-ups and HOA rules, and we can send a certificate of insurance to your building before the job.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes. We carry general liability and commercial auto, and we send the COI by email to building management on request.
What if my building has a loading dock schedule?
Tell us the dock hours and any reservation you've made and we'll schedule the window to match. Marina del Rey and Wilshire Corridor towers are routine for us.
Can you carry items down from a third-floor walk-up?
Yes. Stairs are included in the quote. Mention the floor when you text so we send the right crew.
Do you help property managers with tenant turnovers?
Yes, including recurring pickups and invoicing. Text or email the building address to set it up.
Service areas
Where are you based?
Santa Monica. Our trucks start there, so the core Westside gets the earliest same-day slots.
Which cities and neighborhoods do you serve?
Santa Monica, Venice, Mar Vista, West LA, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Topanga, Malibu, Culver City, Marina del Rey, Playa del Rey, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance and the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Each has its own page.
Do you go to Malibu and Topanga?
Yes, including Point Dume and the canyon roads. Travel is built into the quote; there's no separate fee.
Do you serve the South Bay beach cities?
Yes: El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach and Torrance, plus Rancho Palos Verdes, Palos Verdes Estates and Rolling Hills Estates.
What if I'm just outside your area?
Text a photo anyway. We take larger jobs in West Hollywood, Inglewood and Hawthorne and tell you yes or no within the hour.
Storm season and El Niño
Why are you talking about El Niño?
Because NOAA has an El Niño Advisory in effect and forecasts a wet winter for Southern California, and the Palisades and Malibu burn scars are in their highest-risk period for debris flows. We're prioritizing same-day storm-debris pickups across the Westside.
Will the city or county remove storm debris from my yard?
Los Angeles County says debris on private property is the owner's responsibility, and the City of Los Angeles has no storm-mud pickup program. Public crews clear streets and storm drains. That gap is what we fill.
Do you remove fire debris in the Palisades or Malibu?
We haul rebuild-phase waste, storm debris and household junk. Hazardous fire ash and burned-structure debris were cleared under federal and county programs; we don't handle those.
Where can I get sandbags?
Free at LAFD and Los Angeles County fire stations, and Santa Monica runs Sandbag Saturdays at Clover Park in November. Bring your own shovel to most sites.
Can you haul away sandbags after the season?
Yes. Sand is heavy, so it's quoted by weight; send a photo and a count.
About the company
Are you licensed and insured?
We carry general liability and commercial auto insurance. Junk hauling doesn't require a contractor's license in Los Angeles; we don't do the demolition or hazardous work that would.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. Our own crew does every job, and the person who prices it is on the truck.
Who answers the chat on this site?
An assistant collects the details, then Miles takes over by text. You can ask for him at any point.
Are you a minority-owned business?
Yes. We note it in the footer rather than the headline; the work speaks for itself.
Ready when you are
Text a photo. Get a price today.
Snap what's going, text it over, and we reply with a clear price, usually within the hour. No visits, no hourly rates, and if the load differs from the photos we re-quote before we lift anything.
