Junk Removal El Segundo
El Segundo is a small-town grid wrapped around refineries, aerospace campuses and creative offices, so our work here splits between commercial cleanouts and the homes west of Sepulveda. Text photos to (310) 905-5138, get a clear price from Miles, and we handle anything past EDCO's six-item allowance.

What we pick up most in El Segundo
Roughly three-quarters of El Segundo's land is industrial or commercial, and the Chevron refinery alone covers more than a quarter of the city. That tilts our calls toward buildings rather than houses. Smoky Hollow's creative offices send us desks, conference tables and the monitors nobody wanted to claim. The campuses near Mattel, the Boeing Satellite Center and the Rosecrans corridor generate lab benches, shelving, pallets of retired equipment and the occasional entire floor of cubicles. These jobs are scheduled around a lease end or a move-in date, so we plan them like a small project: a walk-through by photo, a crew sized to the freight elevator, and a fixed window.
The residential side is quieter but steady. About 7,500 homes and apartments sit on the old grid west of Sepulveda, and 57.5 percent of them are rented. Garage cleanouts on the small lots, a retiring couple's spare room, and apartment turnovers near Main Street make up most of it. Our commercial junk removal and office cleanout pages cover the business side in detail, and commercial junk removal in El Segundo goes deeper on the campus work.
Getting the truck in
West of Sepulveda the streets are a small-lot residential grid with alleys, so the truck usually gets close. The real obstacle is LAX traffic, which backs up Sepulveda and Aviation at predictable hours, so we aim for mid-morning or early afternoon arrivals and tell you the window up front. East of Sepulveda the campuses have loading docks, badge check-ins and sometimes a certificate of insurance requirement. Send us the building manager's contact and we will arrange dock time ahead of the truck.
If your building has a freight elevator that needs a reservation, tell us when you text. We carry general liability and commercial auto coverage, and we can usually produce the paperwork the same day you ask. In multi-floor office buildings, stairs and elevator timing decide the job.
EDCO's bulky pickup vs. hiring us
For homes, start with the city program. EDCO, El Segundo's hauler, picks up bulky items for single-family and duplex residents: up to six items, up to four times per calendar year, with a call at least two days before collection day to (310) 540-2977. The city also runs two cleanup events a year for residents, one in spring and one in fall. If you are clearing a single mattress and a chair, that is the right tool and it costs nothing extra.
It stops quickly, though. Six items is a small garage. Buildings with three or more units fall under a 2020 ordinance that sends tenants to the building's own hauler for on-call bulky service, so a landlord with a full turnover often needs a second option. Hazardous waste is excluded from EDCO's program, and none of this applies to a business. Offices, labs and warehouses are not residential accounts, which is why commercial cleanouts are the bulk of what we do here.
Where El Segundo junk ends up
A cleared Smoky Hollow suite splits three ways. Monitors, towers and break-room appliances go to a certified e-waste handler, and metal frames go to scrap. Whatever remains is a short run to the Republic Services and American Waste transfer station, 1449 W Rosecrans Ave in Gardena.
Chemicals are the exception. We do not haul lab reagents, solvents or shop paint. Residents with household hazardous waste can use the Hyperion S.A.F.E. Center, 7660 W Imperial Hwy in Playa del Rey, which lists weekend hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A business with chemicals on site needs a commercial disposal contractor, and we will leave those containers behind and take the rest.
Seasons in El Segundo
Business cycles set the calendar here more than weather does. Lease expirations in Smoky Hollow, tenant-improvement start dates along Rosecrans and the reshuffles that follow a growing aerospace or tech tenant show up as clusters of calls. On the residential grid west of Sepulveda, garage clearouts bunch up around the city's spring and fall resident cleanup events, which is when people find out six items was never going to cover a garage. If winter rain leaves soaked cardboard, ruined stock or fallen branches on a loading dock or side yard, text a photo and we will fit it in.
A typical El Segundo call
A property manager in Smoky Hollow texts about a suite a departing startup left behind: twelve desks, a dozen task chairs, a whiteboard wall and a stack of dead monitors, with the landlord wanting it empty by Friday. Miles prices it from the photos. The crew books the building's dock for Thursday morning, stages in the loading bay, sorts chairs and desks for Goodwill, monitors for e-waste and the remainder for Gardena, and sends a photo of the swept suite. Sketch only; a real Smoky Hollow job will take its place once we have photos.

El Segundo questions
Do you do commercial junk removal in El Segundo?
Yes, and it is the larger share of our work here. Offices in Smoky Hollow, lab and warehouse space, and the campus buildings along Rosecrans and Sepulveda all get photo quotes and scheduled windows. We carry general liability and commercial auto insurance and can provide proof when a building requires it.
What does EDCO's bulky pickup cover in El Segundo?
Single-family and duplex homes get up to 6 items, up to 4 times per calendar year, with a call to EDCO at (310) 540-2977 at least two days before collection day. Buildings with three or more units must use their own hauler under a 2020 ordinance. Hazardous waste is excluded.
Can I use EDCO for my business cleanout?
No. The EDCO allowance is for residential accounts. Offices, labs and warehouses need a private hauler, which is where we come in.
How fast can you come to El Segundo 90245?
Morning photos can often get a same-day or next-morning window, though LAX traffic on Sepulveda and Aviation shapes the arrival time. Commercial jobs that need dock or freight-elevator reservations take a day or two longer to line up.
Can you take paint, solvents or lab chemicals?
No. We do not haul hazardous waste. Residents can take household hazardous waste and e-waste to Hyperion, in Playa del Rey at 7660 W Imperial Hwy, on weekend days between 9 and 3; a business needs a commercial disposal contractor. We will set those containers aside and take everything else.
Do you handle apartment turnovers for El Segundo landlords?
Yes. Because multifamily buildings of three or more units cannot use the city's EDCO bulky program, landlords often book us for tenant turnovers. Send photos of each unit in one text thread and we will quote them together.
