How we decide what goes where
Every load gets sorted twice. On site we separate what's donatable from what isn't, and at the truck we split metal, wood, cardboard, mattresses and e-waste from the true trash. Metal goes to a scrap recycler, mattresses to the California mattress recycling program, and electronics to a certified e-waste handler. What's left goes to a licensed transfer station, usually Southern California Disposal in Santa Monica or Culver City's own station on Jefferson.
That routing is the same whether you book a single couch in Venice or a whole-house estate cleanout in Beverly Hills. It's also why we ask for a photo first: knowing what's in the pile tells us which trip it takes and which facility it ends at.
What every service includes
- A clear price from your photo before we come out, with labor, stairs, carrying distance and disposal fees already in it.
- A two-hour arrival window, same day when you text before noon.
- Two-person crew with dollies, blankets and drop cloths for floors and door frames.
- Loading from wherever the items are: upstairs, back yard, storage unit, loading dock.
- A sweep of the area when the load is out.
What we don't do
Three things, so there are no surprises: we don't rent dumpsters, we don't do demolition, and we don't haul hazardous waste. That means no paint, solvents, chemicals, propane, asbestos or fire ash. For those we'll point you to the right Los Angeles S.A.F.E. center or county program, and for demolition we work alongside your contractor and haul what they take down.
Service questions
Can one booking cover several services, like furniture and yard debris?
Yes. We price the whole load together, so a couch, a dead hedge and a broken fridge in one pickup is one number. Send photos of everything that's going and we'll quote it as one job.
Do you do single-item pickups?
We do. A single mattress, couch or refrigerator is a common job, especially in apartment areas like Palms and Santa Monica. Smaller loads still get the same two-hour window and donation routing.
Is there anything you need from me before the crew arrives?
Clear a path if you can, point out anything that stays, and let us know about building rules such as elevator reservations or loading-dock hours. For gated communities and hillside streets, a gate code or parking note saves a lot of time.
Which service page should I use for a rental turnover?
Furniture removal if it's mostly furniture and mattresses, estate cleanout if it's the whole unit including kitchen and closets. If you're not sure, text the photos and we'll tell you which it is and price it either way.
Do you handle commercial jobs after hours?
Yes. Offices, studios and retail spaces often need evening or weekend windows, and we schedule those on the commercial junk removal page. A certificate of insurance is available on request for building management.
Ready when you are
Text a photo. Get a price today.
Snap what's going, text it over, and we reply with a clear price, usually within the hour. No visits, no hourly rates, and if the load differs from the photos we re-quote before we lift anything.
