Commercial Junk Removal El Segundo
About three quarters of El Segundo is industrial or commercial, so most of what we clear here is an office, lab, warehouse or studio, not a house. We offer after-hours and weekend slots, a certificate of insurance on request and one invoice. Text photos to (310) 905-5138 and Miles replies with a price from truck space.

Why commercial junk removal in El Segundo is its own job
Most cities have a residential center with some offices on the edges. El Segundo is the reverse. Roughly three quarters of the city's land is industrial or commercial, and the Chevron refinery alone covers more than a quarter of the city. The residential grid west of Sepulveda is about 7,500 units, and around it sit aerospace campuses, the Boeing Satellite Center, the LA Air Force Base, Mattel's headquarters and the creative offices of Smoky Hollow. Here an office, lab or warehouse cleanout is the normal job and a household pickup is the side order.
That has a practical consequence for the free service. The EDCO bulky-item program the city lists is a residential allowance for single-family and duplex households, and the city's own page excludes hazardous waste in any case. A tenant vacating a large suite or warehouse bay has no claim on it. We could not confirm what one-off cleanout service commercial haulers offer here, so ask your property manager or your commercial account rep before you assume the answer is no.
What we see most in El Segundo
The commercial mix here is shaped by who the neighbors are:
- Smoky Hollow creative offices: desks, task chairs, conference tables, couches from reception areas, and the contents of a supply room that outlived its team.
- Aerospace and engineering offices: cubicle systems, filing cabinets, shelving, whiteboards and old workstations when a program ends or a group relocates.
- Lab and light-industrial space: benches, racks, steel shelving, pallets, crates and packaging. We take the furniture and fixtures, not the chemicals.
- Warehouses off Rosecrans and Aviation: pallet stacks, broken racking, packaging and stored inventory that nobody wants to claim.
- Tenant-improvement debris: the leftovers from an office build-out once the contractor has torn out the old layout.
- E-waste in bulk: monitors, laptops, docking stations and phones from an IT refresh.
We also get small calls from the downtown Main Street strip and the residential blocks around it. If you are a business owner with a garage full of overflow at home, that is a residential job and the El Segundo page covers it.
How we run it here
Commercial customers in El Segundo care about three things: when we arrive, how we get past security, and how many invoices land in accounts payable.
- After hours and weekends. Offices and campuses usually do not want a truck in the lot at 10 a.m. on a Tuesday. We schedule early mornings, evenings and weekends when the space is quiet, within any hour, since we run 24/7
- Docks and check-in. Commercial campuses east of Sepulveda tend to have loading docks and security check-in. Tell us the dock number, the contact and any badge process when you book, and ask whether the site wants a certificate of insurance; we carry general liability and commercial auto insurance and can provide one on request.
- Lab and aerospace sites. Some campuses restrict outside vendors or escorts. We would rather learn that from you before the window than at the gate.
- One invoice. A multi-floor cleanout is a single price from truck space and a single invoice, not a stack of line items.
LAX traffic on Sepulveda and Aviation can add time, so evening and weekend slots are often easier than midday. El Segundo is roughly a 22-minute off-peak drive from our Santa Monica base; that is an estimate, and we give a firmer arrival window when you book.
Where it goes from El Segundo
Commercial loads sort into four streams. Many businesses like having it for their records. Metal racking, steel shelving and metal furniture go to scrap recycling. Electronics go through e-waste removal instead of the dumpster. Anything broken or unsalvageable goes to a licensed transfer station.
The closest named transfer station in our research is the Republic Services / American Waste station at 1449 W Rosecrans Ave in Gardena. The Hyperion S.A.F.E. Center at 7660 W Imperial Hwy is practically next door for household hazardous waste and e-waste, but we haven't confirmed whether it accepts business loads, so ask LASAN before you plan around it. We don't haul hazardous waste of any kind: no paint, solvents, lab chemicals, fuel or propane. If your cleanout includes them, they need a licensed hazardous-waste vendor, and we will work around them.
What the city and EDCO cover, and what they don't
El Segundo's resident programs are written for households. Here is how they sort.
| Who you are | What the city lists |
|---|---|
| Single-family or duplex household | EDCO bulky pickup, up to 6 items up to 4 times a calendar year, with two days' notice at (310) 540-2977. |
| Building with 3+ units | Per a 2020 ordinance, on-call bulky service must come from the building's hauler. |
| Resident cleanup events | Two a year from the city, spring and fall. |
| Business, office, lab or warehouse | Not covered by the resident allowance. Check your commercial hauler agreement. |
Even where a commercial hauler offers a one-off pickup, a business often cannot wait for it: a lease runs out, a landlord needs the suite back, a company moves floors over a long weekend. We are not a replacement for weekly trash service. We exist for the cleanout, the liquidation and the project with an end date.
A typical El Segundo call
This is an example of the work, not a testimonial. A design studio in Smoky Hollow is moving into a smaller space, and the landlord wants the old suite empty by Monday. On Wednesday the office manager texts photos of eleven desks, a conference table, two couches, a rack of shelving, a dozen task chairs and a pile of monitors. Miles replies with one price from truck space and offers a Saturday morning slot. The landlord's property manager asks for a certificate of insurance, and the office manager requests it. The furniture is sorted on site: desks and chairs to donation, shelving to scrap, monitors to e-waste.

Commercial Junk Removal in El Segundo: questions
Does the EDCO bulky-item program cover commercial junk removal in El Segundo?
No. The program the city lists is for single-family and duplex households, with up to six items four times a year. Businesses should check their own commercial hauler agreement. If you need an office or warehouse cleared on a deadline, that is where we come in.
Can you do after-hours commercial junk removal in El Segundo?
Yes. We schedule early mornings, evenings and weekends so we are not in the way of your staff or your loading dock. Our hours run Monday to Saturday 7am to 7pm and open 24/7
Will you send a certificate of insurance for a commercial junk removal job in El Segundo?
Yes, on request. We carry general liability and commercial auto insurance. Tell us who needs the certificate, whether that is a property manager or a security desk, when you book.
What commercial items do you remove in El Segundo?
Desks, chairs, cubicles and conference tables; shelving, racks and fixtures; e-waste in bulk; tenant-improvement debris; and pallets, crates and packaging. We don't remove hazardous waste such as paint, solvents or fuel, and we don't do demolition.
Do you handle lab and aerospace-office cleanouts in El Segundo?
We clear furniture, benches, racks, shelving and e-waste from labs and offices. We don't take chemicals or other hazardous waste, so those need a licensed vendor. Tell us what is staying and we'll quote the rest.
How is commercial junk removal in El Segundo priced?
By truck space, from photos. Text pictures of the space to (310) 905-5138 and Miles replies with one price that covers the carry, loading and routing. A multi-floor job comes on one invoice.
What do apartment buildings in El Segundo do with bulky items?
Buildings with three or more units must use their own hauler for on-call bulky service, under a 2020 city ordinance. We pick up from residents and managers who need a faster date or have more than the building's service will take.
